Description
The Catnic CG150/100 Standard Duty Cavity Lintel 2700mm is a robust structural steel support designed for wide masonry cavity wall construction. Manufactured by Catnic, part of Tata Steel, this lintel features an open-back profile that allows masonry to be built continuously on both the inner and outer leaves, ensuring efficient installation and dependable structural performance.
Designed for standard-duty applications, the CG150/100 lintel is suitable for supporting typical masonry, timber floor, and roof loads commonly found in residential and light commercial buildings. Constructed from galvanised steel and protected with Catnic’s advanced Duplex corrosion protection system, it offers exceptional durability and long-term resistance to rust and weathering. Integral insulation, a built-in damp-proof course (DPC), and an integrated plaster key help improve thermal efficiency, reduce cold bridging, and simplify finishing work.
Important: A minimum structural end bearing of 150mm is required at each end. Therefore, a 2700mm lintel is suitable for a maximum clear opening span of 2400mm.
