The Catnic CG150/100 Standard Duty Steel Lintel 1500mm is a reliable structural support solution designed for use in cavity walls with cavity widths ranging from 150mm to 165mm. Engineered to support typical masonry, timber floor, and roof loads, this lintel provides consistent load distribution across both the inner and outer leaves, making it ideal for residential and light commercial construction projects.
Manufactured from high-quality galvanised steel and protected by Catnic’s Duplex corrosion protection system, the lintel offers excellent durability and long-term resistance to corrosion. Its open-back Cougar profile allows continuous masonry construction, while built-in insulation, an integral plaster key, and an integrated damp-proof course (DPC) help improve thermal performance and simplify installation. Designed for straightforward fitting and dependable structural performance, this lintel provides a practical and cost-effective solution for modern cavity wall systems.
Important: Before purchasing, ensure your structural opening size is correctly measured. Catnic recommends a minimum end bearing of 150mm on both sides of the opening. Therefore, a 1500mm lintel is suitable for a maximum structural opening of 1200mm. For a 1500mm structural opening, an 1800mm lintel should be selected.
