Choosing the right material for insulating a summer house:

When choosing the right material for insulating your summer house, it is important to consider its R-value, or its ability to resist heat transfer. The higher the R-value, the better the material will be at insulating your space.

You should also consider the size of your summer house, your budget, and your summer house activities – whether it’s working out or simply just relaxing – to find the right insulating material that best suits your needs.

How to install insulation for a summer house with SuperFOIL:

DISCLAIMER: This guide acts as a brief outline for summer house insulation. Be sure to consult a professional before starting your project.

Step 1:

Measure the walls of the summer house where you are installing the insulation. Cut the necessary pieces of SuperFOIL to fit these measurements. Make sure to leave a small overlap on each side when cutting the pieces – at least 3 inches.

Step 2:

Place the first piece of cut SuperFOIL against one wall in the summer house, using metal staples every 12 inches to secure it in place. Ensure that you are attaching it correctly with no air gaps or overlaps in order for it to be effective.

Step 3:

Attach all other pieces of SuperFOIL, overlapping them by at least 3 inches and stapling them firmly in place. Start from one corner and work your way down each wall until you have secured all pieces of SuperFOIL and created a continuous layer across all walls.

Step 4:

Once all pieces have been installed along the walls, trim any excess material with a sharp knife or scissors as needed for a neat finish. Finally, inspect your installation to ensure that all seams are sealed properly and there is no air leakage around windows or doors in order to maximize energy efficiency.
